Soft Iron Distortions

This is when the magnetic field is stretched or bent by metals nearby altering the shape of the magnetic field. A final calibration is usually needed in order to mitigate this effect and you can use [[Sphere Fitting|sphere fitting]], [[Ellipsoid Fitting|ellipsoid fitting]], or [[Levenberg-Marquardt]] algorith.
