What is personality?

There is the Big5 or Ocean traits, Meyers Briggs, Meyers Briggs:

Personality comes from Traits, Motivations, and Narratives. This makes up the evidence for her personality. There is a pie sliced into 3 that shows that personality can be thought of as made up of 3 parts.

Traits are tangible, things you can see.

Steve Jobs is a good example of how motivations make up personality and how Steve Jobs is introverted and goal-oriented.

A good piece of information is when we ask people about themselves, we usually dont specify if we want to know about their traits versus their motivations.

Psychology seems to find things that try to reflect what is internal which is difficult to measure.

The self-image is very important.

The self-narrative is a set of facts and the narrative is the connection of facts that is what one is. Narrative is made up, so you can change it. The narrative parts of the personality is the so what.

The stories you tell yourself about any situation are powerful.

A lot of traits are known consciously. Motivations are less known. Your narratives are mostly subconscious.

There is a lot of back and forth between your internal and external environment that shapes your rewards.

It seems like the unit for human identity is the story
