Line Integral

The line integral can integrate over [[Scalar Fields|scalar fields]] and [[Vector Fields|vector fields]]. For a scalar field it can be thought of just normal integration of a function of a line, but that line has been curved over a different function. For vector fields, it can be thought of of getting the total work done by the vector field on a particle traveling in the path of curve C.

It is related to the length of an arc since the formula is the same as the length of an arc but multiplied by the field at each point.
