Eating Routine
Last updated: 1/9/2025
I want to put in place a good eating routine because when you eat is also important, here is what I found:
- Breakfast: Eating breakfast between 6:00 to 9:45 a.m. is recommended. A high-protein breakfast is linked to lower rates of weight gain, and those who ate during this window were less likely to feel hungry than those who postponed their breakfast until after 10 a.m.
- Eating lunch earlier is better, as waiting until late afternoon could cause you to overeat or make less healthy choices.
- Dinner: Eating dinner between 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. is recommended, with 6:14 p.m. being the best time according to one study
- It's better to have your biggest meal of the day in the morning or afternoon rather than at night, as research suggests that this could be beneficial for metabolic health.
- Ideally, you should aim to eat dinner at least two to three hours before going to bed[
