Generation Effect

The generation effect is that if you generate something you remember and learn it better.
What was also cool (but I don't believe it that much) is that after learning about the generation effect there isn't a difference, but the regular learning is improved.
Encoding strategies: It appears that part of the reason why the generation effect improves general learning is because your brain learns a different encoding strategy that is needed for the task, so it learns faster.
