False Consensus

The false consensus is the normal human idea that other people are similar to us (i.e. have similar experiences/knowledge/etc) to us even when that is not true. It is a reason why people do not understand why other people would vote for another candidate (if they did have the same life experiences they probably would), and it might have something to do with the idea of [[Projecting|projecting]]
